My Journey to Younique

One month ago today I joined the Younique Team, and am still in disbelief about my decision to be an Independent Presenter but ever so glad that I did! I am in disbelief only because I have never considered myself a sales-person. Sure, I was a sales associate while in college at a shoe store, but in all honesty I did that more for the discount than because I enjoyed sales.

Like I mentioned in my original review post, I was first introduced to this fabulous product by a dear friend, Shannon Nelson. And yes, there is a basketball connection! Shannon is the wife to Mike Nelson, NDSU men's basketball stand-out, who my husband coached in the school's first appearance in the NCAA tournament. She first approached me to sample the product for the blog - and I never turned back!

So why Younique? I have been approached to sell every product under the sun, however, I was never fully impressed with any of the products. See, that is the difference? I don't consider myself a sales-person, rather, I am simply sharing my fondness for these fabulous make-up products, especially the 3D mascara! Honestly, this stuff is amazing.

Prior to trying the 3D Moodstruck mascara, I was an avid false eyelash wearer. Come on, you can't truly be surprised! I am a former beauty queen. From my prospective, the bigger the eyelashes the better! When I competed I got eyelash extensions and then would add an additional strip of removable false eyelashes to really get a plump and voluminous look! And, sometimes yearned for them to be BIGGER!

Ok, so the sash, title, and crown are stashed away, but you can never truly take away all that sparkle from a girl!

Because of this, I would consider myself a professional false eyelash applicator. But, it still takes some time and patience to apply those bad boys...

And yes, I have had some really bad application stories. Like the time I met a new friend for lunch only to learn after that my false eye lash was hanging on by a thread! Really good way to make a good first impression, not!

Boy have I been pleased with ease of the 3D Moodstruck mascara!

Although I cannot claim that I have completely lost hope on my false eyelashes; I will say that the 3D mascara even does wonders to one's false eyelash game! Pageant girls, cheerleaders, and others desiring eye-popping eyes, should still invest in this product.

In addition to the mascara, I have really enjoyed the lip glosses; eye pencils; and eye & face primer! However, if I had to chose one item from the whole line I would recommend the mascara!

If you are interested in learning more about the products, please visit my website!

And within under one month, I have moved-up in the company! Kudos to this lady :)

All of the products are all-natural, chemical-free, and mineral-based which is good in my books!

Bat An Eye - Three Ways

Hello! Last week I announced that I became a Younique Independent Presenter, and am currently hosting my first on-line party. It has been a joy sharing my fondness for the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes, and receiving positive feedback from those ladies that have placed their orders.

What is so great is that if you are not satisfied with your order, you can return for a 100% refund! How awesome is that?!?

However, I am fairly certain that you will not want to return this product, but instead, that you will return to your computer to buy additional mascaras as gifts for your friends and family.

I have a little confession...  I really LOVED wearing false eyelashes! And when Shannon asked me if I wanted to try this mascara, I of course agreed, but just knew that the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes would not compare.

Well, I was WRONG!

But, when you compare the 2 coats of Younique verse false eyelashes, in my opinion, the Younique 3D Fiber Lashes wins by a landfall! In the above photo, I am wearing Revlon Define (D20) which are pretty natural overall (to me at least!). I too  "seal" my false eyelashes with one coat of regular mascara, so the above picture should actually say False Eyelashes + Mascara, but you get the picture.

I actually think my lashes look more voluminous and full with the Younique mascara which is absolutely crazy to me! Have you ever worn false eyelashes? Well, they are not the easiest things to maneuver and I would consider myself a pro since I have been wearing them from my competitive dance and stage performance years (way before pageantry).

Basically, the Younique mascara is a complete breeze when you compare it to applying false eyelashes. But, if you are still an avid false eyelash wearer, guess what the Fiber Lashes can do for your false eyelash game...

Holy Wowzers!

Stop what you are doing and head on over to purchase your own mascara... Hurry, the party ends in a few days and friends don't let friends miss out on events like this!

BBB's Bodacious Lashes Party

Hey guys! I know, it has been a few days since my last post but my day-job has been keeping me ever-so busy and exhausted at the end of the day. (Hint, hint Coach Kemp)

However, with that being said, I somehow found the idea that I need to add one more thing to my list of to-do's and became a Presenter with the Younique company! I am still trying to decide if I have completely lost it. I will not poll you on that question since I know the answer!

I was first approached by my good friend, Shannon Nelson, and wife to former Bison basketball player,  Mike Nelson, about reviewing the 3-D Fiber Lashes for the blog. Now, of course I jumped on the opportunity because I love make-up, although I desperately need a crash course on contouring, and surprisingly was pleasantly pleased with the results.

The above photo is with only ONE coat of the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes! I have seen some other Presenters showing pictures when they add 2-3 coats, and I really cannot believe how build-able this product is.

In the top photo I too am using they're Real! mascara by Benefit. I was first turned on to this mascara by my mother-in-law two years ago. At that time, I was so sold on the plumping effect of the they're Real! mascara, but it is no comparison to the 3-D Lashes! And, that mascara is $23, while the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes is $29 - yes, a few dollars more but look at the difference!

I am currently hosting a party for all of my followers, Brains Beauty & Basketball's Bodacious Lashes Party, and I highly recommend that you head on over to purchase some 3D Fiber Lashes for yourself. Heck, go ahead and get some as Christmas gifts while you are it - only 42 more days until Christmas Day!
